Each year, we ask our readers to weigh in on their favorite hotels, destinations, cruise lines, airlines, cities, islands, and more to help us narrow in on the best of the best. The survey kicked off on Oct. 24, 2022, and runs through Feb. 27, 2023. But this year, we have a new category we’d love for you to vote on: the World's Best train journeys. It’s the first year the category has made an appearance, and the timing couldn't be better. In fact, this year, Pinterest named train travel a "surging trend," thanks in large part to travelers' desire to slow down and immerse themselves in new places and landscapes. You Can Now Vote in Travel + Leisure's 2023 World's Best Awards Survey — for the Chance to Win $15,000 or a World Cruise There are now exponentially more offerings for those who want to hop aboard trains across the globe, including ultra-luxurious trains trekking across Europe, Amtrak vacations that will take passengers from one end of the U.S. to the other, and sleeper cars meandering through Australia, South Africa, Peru, and more. The new trains category launches this year with 24 trains — something on every continent except Antarctica. Among the trains on the survey are icons like the Maharajas' Express in India and the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express in Europe. Best train trips isn’t the only new category we’ve got for you this year. We’re also unveiling the best villa rental companies category, so make sure to cast your ballot for your favorites there, too. As a reminder, you have until Feb. 27 to vote. And when you do, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a Viking Longitudinal World Cruise for two, or one of six cash prizes. Once you've voted and while you wait for the results, see all our 2022 winners at travelandleisure.com.
