This TikTok-viral Backpack Helps Travelers Go on 3-week Trips With Just a Carry-on — and It's $36 at Amazon

There once was a time when I praised the simplicity of a tote bag as a personal item on the plane. And though I’ll always cherish that sweet, wearable memento of my summer in Portugal, I’ve changed my tune a bit since becoming a packing cube convert. Compartmentalization is a true game-changer, and our friends over on TikTok know it. Hence why the Vecave Travel Backpack is gaining popularity on the platform. 

When I see a product garner this much attention on TikTok, I know that everyone must be onto something. So I dug into the Vecave Travel Backpack to see what all of the hoopla was about, and found that it's a travel bag that covers literally all the bases. In fact, this bag has invented new bases to cover, with its waterproof compartments for toiletries, an isolated compartment for shoes, and a USB port for charging your phone on the go, to name just a few.

Highlighting its other features, the TikToker slipped their iPad into the padded laptop compartment (which fits a 14-inch laptop) and stashed away tiny essentials in the discrete back pocket (perfect for passports, phone, wallets, keys, and other valuables) and easy-to-reach front pocket, which we'd use for things like our boarding pass, headphones, gum, and whatever else we'd need fast access to in-flight.

What's more, it's equipped with memory foam straps for extra comfort and a pass-through sleeve that allows it to securely fasten over your luggage handle, which will come in handy when you're trying to breeze through the airport or need to be hands-free. 

But, in addition to its thoughtful features, TikTokers also love that the Vecave Travel Backpack's 11.8-inch by 7.9-inch by 16.9-inch frame allows it to be considered a personal item on budget airlines like Spirit and Frontier. In a video by TikTok user @2wfhmomsview, she raved that the backpack was "able to fit everything I needed" during a recent flight and ended up helping her save money in the long run by not having to bring a carry-on suitcase.
