And this fall, those heading to the Sportfishing Capital of the World — as the island is known — can stay at its newest high-end resort, which will open as part of Marriott's Tribute Portfolio collection. Three Waters Resort & Marina will boast 15 oceanfront acres after a multimillion-dollar renovation that merged the former Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina and Pelican Cove Resort & Marina into one property. The new resort, operated by Islamorada Resort Collection, will have 214 guest rooms and cottages inspired by island living as well as several high-end amenities like a marina with 72 slips, three pools, nine food and beverage concepts, and a rich program of fishing-focused experiences. A unique addition will be The Cove, a "resort-within-the-resort," catering to adults by offering them exclusive access to a private beach lagoon, a gym, and a pool. Whether you're looking for innovative culinary experiences, unparalleled fishing and watersport adventures, a relaxing family vacation, or a romantic couples' getaway, the new Florida Keys awaits," Matt Skaletsky, the property's general manager, said in a press release provided to Travel + Leisure. The interiors will evoke the Florida Keys' beautiful natural setting — think lush greenery that reflects the region's mangroves and a color scheme rich in blues, yellows, and pops of coral. Among the resort's culinary offerings are a signature restaurant with a wood-fired grill and a menu highlighting local produce and seafood; a reimagined Tiki Bar with mid-century modern and vintage design touches and a menu of themed cocktails and light fare. Little Limón, a beachfront raw bar will offer expansive ocean views and small plates of ceviches, crudos, and oysters paired with premium tequila and mezcal. Other highlights of the dining program include a food truck-inspired experience celebrating Central American cuisine, a pizzeria with indoor and outdoor seating, an ice cream shop, and a swim-up bar. Courtesy of Three Waters Resort & Marina The property's water activities will focus on educating resort guests on best practices for fly casting, lobstering, and boating. Those who prefer something more active can rent jet skis or head on a catboat tour in a two-person catamaran. Lastly, travelers looking for some relaxation can join a sound bowl meditation or take a yoga class at the resort.
