On Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula, there’s a place where the waves roll smoothly, the jungle skirts the sand, and a winding sendero, or path, leads travelers to a supremely stylish hideaway. The district of Nosara is a haven for surfers and wellness enthusiasts, and they’re all raving about Sendero Nosara, a 25-room hotel that opened in early 2023. The property offers longboard lessons and yoga classes, healthy dining in open-air settings, and earth-toned rooms furnished with natural materials.

Model Leo Ruiz (The Agency), who lives in Costa Rica, headed to the hotel to show off the season’s best sustainable beachwear — including pieces from notable Tico designers.
