This All-inclusive Luxury Wellness Resort Just Opened in Costa Mujeres, Mexico, on a Gorgeous Crescent of White-sand Beach

The wellness brand Sha today brings its restorative touch to Costa Mujeres, Mexico, with a new opening. Sha Mexico, the much-anticipated wellness clinic, offers guests 35 residences and 100 oceanfront rooms and suites, all of which are equipped with private balconies overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Designed by Mexican architectural firm Sordo Madaleno and interior designer Alejandro Escudero, the property harnesses the area’s organic materials: wicker, natural textiles, and marble are thoughtfully integrated throughout the rooms. The property has also leaned into the use of renewable energy, for a more sustainable footprint. 

Perched across from the largest coral reef in the northern hemisphere, Sha Mexico boasts native tropical gardens, curated by landscape architecture firm Maat Handasa, as well as a crescent of white sand beach. The wellness clinic also provides a fitness facility; multiple infinity pools; water-based recreation activities; wellness treatment cabins with views of the mangroves; and dining at the resort’s nutrition-focused venue, Shamadi.

An expansion of the flagship property in Spain, the Mexican resort offers guests the opportunity to participate in one of four personalized health programs. These four- to 21-day programs — Rebalance & Reenergize, Detox & Optimal Weight, Well-Aging & Prevention, and Leader’s Performance — are spearheaded by professionals in their field. Guests partake in state-of-the-art wellness therapies, which are tailored to their specific needs. Upon arrival, guests undergo medical and therapeutic evaluations to determine their specific and individual needs.
