Destinations Paris This Event Company Put Me on the Field at the Super Bowl — and They Want to Take You to the Olympics Why simply go to the Olympic Games when you can celebrate from the finish line? You've just touched down in Paris for the Olympics, and you're headed to the finish line to celebrate with gold medalists. Unless you're a superstar athlete, these experiences are usually nothing but a dream, but there's one event company dedicated to bringing sports fans' wildest ideas to life. From football to the Olympics, college sports to golf, and UFC to MLB, On Location is making some of the biggest events in sports even more incredible to experience. Alessandra Amodio/Travel + Leisure On Location is the official hospitality provider of both the NFL and the Olympic Games, including Paris 2024, Milano Cortina 2026, and Los Angeles 2028. The company creates itineraries that elevate not only the ticketed event itself, but all aspects of the trip. Its packages can be tailored to all types of travelers — those who want to party, mingle with athletes, or just have the very best view of the game. Whatever your style, you're guaranteed to depart with serious bragging rights and memories that will last a lifetime. Alessandra Amodio/Travel + Leisure I was lucky enough to have the chance to create some of these lasting memories at this year's Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. On Location serviced about 35% of the 61,629 attendees at this year's game across the many packages it offered. (Reps for the company estimate they'll service around 400,00 people at the Paris Olympics.) Packages include your game-day ticket and a range of potential over-the-top amenities and experiences that only On Location guests can access. Think: elite service, entry to exclusive clubs and lounges, game day pre-parties with special performers and NFL legends, and so much more. The top Super Bowl tier, “On the Fifty,” brought guests into a lounge down at the 50 yard line where they enjoyed food and drinks by culinary greats like Wolfgang Puck. Guests also had access to the best seats in the stadium, or they could choose to watch the game from a field-level patio, just feet away from all the excitement. One of my favorite parts was being on the field after the game, throwing confetti in the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs' red and yellow, surrounded by the team and their loved ones; it was an experience I never even dreamed was possible. That blow-your-mind level of access — putting you right at the center of the event — is something On Location prides itself on. Plans are already well in the works for next year's Super Bowl in New Orleans. Paris 2024 Courtesy of OnLocation With another Super Bowl in the books, the sports world is now turning its attention toward Paris for the pièce de résistance of 2024: The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games from July 26 to Aug. 11. For the first time, an opening ceremony will not be held in a stadium, instead wowing the world with a show right on the river Seine. Athletes from nations across the globe will sail past iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and under bridges which will be turned into celebrity-filled luxury suites. Guests of On Location will be front and center to witness and join in the spectacle of the games in a way that’s never been done before. Why simply sit in the stands of an arena when you can sit at a classic French cafè table on the grounds of the Palace of Versailles to watch the equestrian disciplines? Or float past competitors, docking to dip your toes in the sand of a pop-up beach volleyball court at the foot of your VIP lounge inside the Eiffel Tower? “We’re bringing the world's best event to the most professional level in terms of experience,” Will Whiston, EVP of Olympic and Paralympic Games for On Location told Travel + Leisure. Courtesy of OnLocation Although I've long been an avid Olympic spectator from my couch, the thought of attending in person never occurred to me. Even in host cities that felt more accessible to me, like Vancouver or London, the games still felt like something I was only meant to watch on TV. On Location is changing the way fans experience the Olympics and other major sporting events. “The only question someone needs to ask themselves is, 'Do I want to go to the Olympics?' If the answer is yes, then all they need to do is talk to our team, and we can navigate,” says Whiston. "Guests will see that in any way shape or form they want to attend... they can create their own experience for the Olympics. Full stop. It's unprecedented, not only for the Olympics but for any event.” Courtesy of U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee Attendees can build their own experiences starting with determining the amount of days they wish to spend in Paris, their preferred accommodations, and ground transport. They'll have access to hard-to-come-by restaurant reservations and dedicated staff to manage their entire trip. Often, traveling for a major event comes with major stress, but this level of hospitality ensures that stress fades into the background so they can soak in every moment. Courtesy of OnLocation Almost all sports in Paris will have their own unique experience offerings. Similar to the Super Bowl's “On the Fifty” package, the Olympics' top package is “On the Finish Line,” putting premier guests on the ground of the Track and Field competition. “The Olympics are two Super Bowls, two World Cups, two basketball championships and 500 other world championship events," says Whiston. "In past games, guests haven't had access to a more involved fan experience. If you wanted to attend, you bought a ticket and went. A premiere ticket might have allotted you better seats or a little something extra, but nothing has been done before of this magnitude with this much fan involvement and consideration." Select packages offer pre-event brunches with Olympic greats. Some guests will have access to Clubhouse 24 in the iconic Palais de Tokyo, which will also house the Olympic Museum that holds every torch and medal since the beginning of the Games. Others will get to celebrate in the Team USA House, after spending the day (hopefully) watching USA medal. Browse and book Olympic Packages at olympics.onlocationexp.com.
