Located on the far northwest side of Chicago, O’Hare International Airport (ORD) is about 16 miles from the downtown Loop. It serves the city alongside Midway International Airport, which is slightly closer to the center but considerably smaller. The Midwest's busiest airport, O’Hare is a hub for American and United airlines and sees off flights to more than 200 destinations in the U.S. and abroad. It has the most runways (eight) of any international airport in the world.
