I Can Hold All of My Essentials With Room to Spare in This Small but Mighty Carryall Bag

About a year ago, I started leaning into small handbags to simplify how much I carried with me. It really streamlined my traveling process through security and while exploring new places since I didn’t have to be in pain from a heavy bag weighing me down. 

While I love mini handbags, they’re not always the most practical either, and nine times out of 10, there are no organizational pockets, zippered compartments, or key leashes to make everything easy to grab. That is until I found the Dagne Dover XS Landon Carryall that offers the small stature of a mini purse with the organization of a tote, all while keeping what I carry around with me at a reasonable minimum.

The handbag is extremely versatile thanks to its long adjustable strap that’s removable for crossbody and shoulder wear. It’s also part of the brand’s 365 Neoprene collection, a fabric made from recycled water bottles that offers a sporty look while still feeling luxe. It’s easy to clean — I should know, considering my first week with the mauve-colored bag, I spilled a smidge of oil on it. I was able to erase the stain with some dish soap and warm water, and it was as good as new. 

On a night out in a new city, I used it as my handbag, and not only did it complement my outfit, but it warranted tons of compliments from friends, telling me how much they loved it. The classic silhouette is available in black, heather gray, moss green, navy, camel, and, my personal favorite, mauve. If you worry about the bag showing wear and tear over time, opt for a darker color like black or navy. 

In addition to loving the shape, its plethora of nifty compartments are the true stars. Too many times in the past, I’ve spent digging for a single item (like my house keys) that takes me upwards of 15 minutes to find; not in this bag. It has an internal neoprene sleeve that can fit a tablet or Kindle, an exterior phone pocket, two interior mesh pockets, a zipper pocket, and a detachable key leash.

And while I like to keep my must-haves to a minimum, there’s enough room and then some for other items in case I need to bring anything additional with me while traveling. It’s truly the perfect personal item for flights.
