I'm a Travel Writer, and I Can Fit 1 Week's Worth of Clothes in This Underseat Carry-on

I don’t know about you, but lately, I’ve done virtually everything in my power to avoid checking a bag. Between lost luggage, long waiting times, and mishandling of bags, it can be somewhat of a gamble, and if I can, I will always make sure to keep my suitcase close to me. And sometimes, even with the most efficiently packed carry-on, some airlines will still require you to check your luggage if the overhead bins get too full. But, after testing out the Baggallini Underseat Carry-On on a recent trip to Florida, that’s all a problem of the past.

I’ve used fantastic weekender totes, lightweight carry-ons and so much more, and while I still cherish these bags, my experience traveling with Baggallini Underseat Carry-On has me left wondering if I’ll ever fully go back to my usual favorites. And even better, with this bag, I don’t have to worry about paying pesky bag fees again.

Measuring 4.5 inches by 15 inches by 8.5 inches, this two-wheel underseat luggage meets most airlines’ carry-on and personal requirements (including Spirit Airlines’ 18-inch by 14-inch by 8-inch personal item policy). This means that you can pack this spacious bag without worrying about checking it or taking up too much space in overseat compartments. And, even if you're one of the last people to board, the convenient carry-on can ride with you thanks to its compact profile that slides right under the seat in front of you.

For its inaugural test run, which was a four-day trip to visit family, I conservatively packed — I only brought three outfits and two sets of pajamas. But, on the way back (after a weekend full of thrifting), I was able to fit seven outfits, three sets of pajamas, and a pair of sneakers. That's easily a week's worth of clothes! Thanks to its smart design with multiple large compartments, mesh side pockets, and more (including one for your laptop), I was able to fit more and stay organized with less space. 

But, its spaciousness isn't the only thing that left me in awe. Made with a lightweight, water-resistant nylon material, two smooth spinning wheels, and a retractable handle, the Baggallini Underseat Carry-On helped me breeze through the airport, leaving me amazed by how little it felt like I was carrying. In fact, I had to unzip the bag midway through to check and make sure that all of my belongings were still in there because of how light it felt (especially compared to a traditional, bulky carry-on). And then when I boarded my flight, I slid it right underneath the seat in front of me and still had ample leg room.

In addition to its spacious-yet-durable build, this underseat carry-on is also equipped with RFID-blocking card slots to keep your credit cards, passports, and other important documents safe. And because I was traveling so light on this specific trip, I utilized these smart compartments and really felt like my items were protected.  

Even though this was my first time using this stellar underseat bag, I know for certain that it won’t be my last.
