Location: New York, NY

Anna Popp is a New York-based associate editor at Travel + Leisure covering all of the best travel products, with an emphasis on writing the team's T+L Trusted content. She has personally tested over 100 pieces of luggage — her favorite part of testing suitcases is hitting them with a baseball bat. When Anna isn't in the lab testing luggage, she's spending time outdoors vetting the best gear from hiking shoes to ski jackets.

Experience

Born and raised in Bend, Oregon, Anna grew up ski racing on Mt. Bachelor and backpacking on the Pacific Crest Trail. She's a dedicated outdoor adventurer-turned-city-dweller, who enjoys roughing it camping for a week and indulging in a mimosa with a first-class upgrade. Before joining T+L in the spring of 2022, Anna was writing product reviews and roundups for USA Today and Business Insider, and her work can also be found in the Seattle Times. Anna speaks French and has lived in Grenoble, France, where she studied and skied in the heart of the Alps. She also spent time in Saint-Louis, Senegal, exploring the nature reserves and coastal geography.

Education

Anna graduated from Seattle University with a Bachelor of Communications specializing in Journalism and earned two minors in French and Nonprofit Leadership.
